The Imagine Our School consultants will unveil the first draft of their plan Tuesday at Citadel High…
A lot of people have asked me what I think. I have no strong opinion. As a member of the SAC “focus group” I saw advanced information last week with all the other SACs.
The proposals, which were for either 6 P-9 schools, or 8 P-6 and only two 550 student JHS 7-9 schools, were, at base, unrealistic, as the bottom line for me is I have yet to see a costed, affordable and achievable plan.
Like the HRSB plan before it, this is a plan to build, and the proposals seem to be very ambitious, probably far more ambitious than we ever can realistically expect to be funded by the Province.
I urge you to come to this meeting to see what is proposed and be prepared to argue your heart out if you don’t like what you see.
