Halifax regional school board members have already made up their minds about a proposed south-end elementary school and are now resorting to threats because many parents oppose it, a Halifax parent said Wednesday evening. Timberlea-Prospect member Deborah Brunt gave notice that she would make a motion at the board’s January meeting to issue a moratorium on out-of-area transfers to Saint Mary’s, LeMarchant-St. Thomas and Inglis Street elementaries.
